The Thicket Trail Guide

Take a Ride Through Johns Island's Upcoming Community

Published June 17, 2019

As much as Charleston has grown in the last few years, Johns Island still finds a way to remain one of the most natural and beautiful parts of the Lowcountry. Whereas most of the Charleston area has been growing in leaps and bounds, Johns  Island takes it’s two-lane roads, towering grand oaks, and marshfront views very seriously.

At The Thicket, we wanted to preserve these ideals. This 30 acre community only has 10 lots, spread across a landscape of untouched Lowcountry land. The homesites will have an abundance of natural space, as well as a large pond on lot two.

You’re invited to join Randall Sandin of Charleston Pier Partners on a golf cart tour of the future homesites.  Guided by a map, a series of small ID marker signs, and a good sense of direction, Randall takes you through all 10 lots, expertly reciting the lot sizes and landscape features from memory.  Often sighted are wild turkeys and other local wildlife as you get a feel for the potential and charm of these lots — just don’t forget to bring your boots!
