In spring of 2025, the New Leaf team started a new local tradition, providing a community outlet for Charleston-area makers to gather for a day under the oaks of Hayes Park to share their work at our
Johns Island Makers Market. In September, we hosted our second event, the Fall Market, and were blown away by the creativity and energy of this community.
The Fall Market featured 53 incredible vendors, eight nonprofit organizations, and six food trucks, each bringing their own unique flavor to the event. Guests enjoyed a day filled with live music from Lady Jane, family fun like the Foam Zone Party, face painting, and fairy hair by the Sparkle Bar. Beyond the booths, the day came alive with the help of Hayes Park’s everyday local businesses, such as eateries like The Heyday, Somm, and High Steaks, boutique designers like Grace Frederick, Emily Daws, and Sapling, and local services including Simple Tree Framers and Johns Island Urgent Care, all right here in the neighborhood.
When we built Hayes Park in 2023, we imagined a place where life happens. A pedestrian-friendly neighborhood designed for gathering, connecting, and celebrating. The Fall Market is a perfect expression of that vision, proof that when you combine community, creativity, and good energy, something special takes root.
If you fell in love with Hayes Park during the Market, we invite you to call it home. The Villas at Hayes Park are now selling, featuring three product lines: the Atrium Villas, Paired Villas, and Quad Villas. Each one is thoughtfully designed to reflect Lowcountry character and a connection to nature. Stop by our model home at 101 Risell Court or visit
