Reflecting on Oak Terrace Preserve

When we started  building at Oak Terrace Preserve, it was an already established Park Circle community, which was focusing on sustainability, sustainable building innovations, and healthy living. These are values that we strive or in many of our communities, which made it exciting for us. We were drawn in by the large natural trees on the lots, the 17 parks and park-lets situated throughout the community, and access to Filbin Creek, the serene Riverfront Park, Quarterman Park and Noisette Creek, all convenient and close.

During the design phase, New Leaf offered several unique floor plans with a modern, coastal twist. We premiered floorplans like the Merietta, Bradshaw, and the Slater, whose modern architectural style we recently featured here. The 55 acre community is in walking distance of schools, stores, restaurants, churches, parks, the Danny Jones Recreation Center and even a disc golf course. And Riverfront Park and Park Circle’s electric nightlife are just a short bike ride away.

An integrated part of the neighborhood is North Charleston Creative Arts Elementary School, which is at the heart of Oak Terrace Preserve. The magnet school is one of the major draws for Oak Terrace neighbors, providing one of the best educations available in the Charleston area.  This neighborhood is so beloved by its residents that most of our homes sold to families who were already living in the neighborhood and looking to upgrade to a new home without giving up their coveted location.
