New Year, New Leaf 2021

Reflecting on 2020, and Ringing in 2021

Published December 21, 2020

As we ring in the New Year, we reflect back on a rather complicated past 12 months. Certainly not the 2020 that we all expected, but of course not without it’s wonderful moments too.

There was so much uncertainty at the beginning of the pandemic, but our focus from the very beginning was to find ways to keep moving. With the help of our new homes agents, we started a weekly series called the One Minute Walkthroughs on Instagram. You can find them on our IGtv Channel here. Keeping them short, sweet, and to the point, the agents tour us through available in in-progress homes, so you can see what we’re up to from the comfort and safety of your home.

We also started our first social media contest, titled Where Do You Love. While our homes are asked to pull double (or triple) duty lately, we asked people to post their favorite thing about their homes, no matter who built them. The winner with the most engagement receives an all included staycation at our Waterman Villas at Kiawah River, complete with in-home chef’s dinner, kayak tour, and more. Congrats to our winner Kaylan Battles!

Back in 2019 we defined our place in the Charleston homebuilding market by joining in projects like Kiawah River and Nexton. This year we expand on those projects, as well as introducing two new communities in 2020, and expanded the product line of the Domus Collection.

The highly anticipated Hayes Park, coming to Johns Island in 2021, will soon become the island’s only mixed use community integrating residential homes and commercial. Learn more about Hayes Park here.

In West Ashley, we introduce Middleborough, new single-story condominiums in Shadowmoss Plantation. Make home maintenance and yard work a thing of the past, and start enjoying club style living in Charleston’s historic Garden District. Learn more about Middleborough here.

This year Nexton announced their expansion into their new phase: Midtown. With the success of the Domus Collection in our Brighton Park phase, we’re adding to the Collection with the all new Vicolo Series, expanding on the quality of our unique Roman villa inspired homes with even more of the street-appeal you expect at Nexton. The Vicolo series brings four new plans to the Domus Collection, the Aneto, the Cannella, the Rosamarino, and the Salvia. For more details on the Midtown Nexton and the Domus Collection visit the community page here.

So all in all, despite a more challenging year than any of us expected, we have a lot to be proud of, and even more to be thankful for. Our staff, partners, vendors, and of course our new home owners, who we now call family. Happy New Year to each of you, and may your 2021 be happy and prosperous!

Below, check out some of our top new highlights of 2020, and the new community pages that we’ll be rolling into the New Year.
